1) A Whole New World from "Aladdin"

"Painting the Roses Red" (Alice in Wonderland) It brings back memories.
"Great Spirits" (Brother Bear) A beautiful song, and very free-sounding. Like it was inviting you to just run through the woods with your shoes off.
"Sing, Sweet Nightingale" (Cinderella)
"Best of Friends" (The Fox and thHound) Again, brings back good memories. Played at the end of the read-along, which actually was more a part of my childhood
than the movie version.
"Pink Elephants on Parade" (Dumbo) 1940's psychedelia, love it!
"I Will Go Sailing No More" (Toy Story) Don't know why but I've always loved sad songs, and I love this one and the scene that accompanies it.
"Little Black Rain Cloud" (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Fun yet unexpectedly pretty song, and a funny scene because you knew it was just too
rediculous to work. For one thing, clouds don't sing! But then again, are bees smart enough to know that? lol
"Once Upon a Time in New York City" (Oliver & Company) This song actually made me cry the last time I heard it. I remember my aunt making several copies
of the soundtrack for my cousins and I, and me listening to it.
"I've Got No Strings" (Pinocchio) On the Best of Disney tape I had this on, I got a kick out of all the different puppets that performed in this song.
"Love" (Robin Hood) Again, the thing with sad and/or serious songs.
"Strange Things" (Toy Story) Just like the sound of this one.
"The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers" (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Gotta love Paul Winchell, and also, was on the same Disney tape some of the
others were on, so it's got memories too.
"He Mele No Lilo" (Lilo & Stitch) Oh, just so much to love about this song! The beauty and grace of the song itself, the scene transition from the darkness
of the space prison, and the humor of the scene that followed. I also still find it interesting and a bit of an odd feeling to be talking about and looking at all these older Disney songs, and then to come across Lilo & Stitch. Truely a modern classic!
"I'm Wishing" (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) Not a bad song in all and let's face it, it was the only time the prince ever said anything was to sing
it.
"Cinderella" (Cinderella) I love those full chorus opening numbers which were so popular with Disney in the 50's.
"He Lives in You" (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride) Beautiful message, and I love those songs with a spiritual tint.
"Candle on the Water" (Pete's Dragon)
"Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" (Lilo & Stitch) Prefer He Mele No Lilo, but like this one too.
"Honor to Us All" (Mulan) I don't know why, but I've always loved to hear a group of women singing, plus it's cultural.
"Zero to Hero" (Hercules)
"Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat" (The Aristocats) Another one from that famous Best of Disney cassette, and gotta show some love to Phil Harris!
"Substitutiary Locomotion" (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) Love the chanting in the beginning.
"Bella Notte" (Lady and the Tramp) Who doesn't love a good Italian love song?
"In a World of My Own" (Alice in Wonderland) Not a favorite persay, but I can relate to the message of feeling misunderstood, and wanting to find a place
that was somewhat more remarkable, and where you could be completely yourself, no matter how unusual that was.
"Winnie the Pooh" (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Just for the memories, and because it is so singable.
So This is Love" (Cinderella) In case I never mentioned it before, I'm a hopeless romantic at heart!
"Two Worlds" (Tarzan)
Baby Mine from "Dumbo"
I Wonder from "Sleeping Beauty" A beautiful song, and along with Cindarella, Sleeping Beauty when I was little was the model of what I thought a princess
should be. Pretty voice, delicate features and all that antipheminist stuff, but I was a kid back then.
"The Second Star to the Right" (Peter Pan)
"Out There" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Just Around the Riverbend" (Pocahontas)
"Let's Go Fly a Kite" (Mary Poppins) Just such a happy song, marking a happy end to the movie. We sang this in 6th grade.
"God Help the Outcasts" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
"When She Loved Me" (Toy Story 2)
"Prince Ali" (Aladdin)
"The Bells of Notre Dame" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) May not have been my favorite movie, I need to see it again before I can say for sure, but heard
the soundtrack many times and it's stunning!
Friend Like Me How could you not love the genie?
"You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!" (Peter Pan) Best of Disney Cassette, need I say more? lol
Go the Distance from "Hercules" Again, not my favorite movie, but this is inspirational.
I Wan'na Be Like You from "The Jungle Book" A fun song!
"Belle" (Beauty and the Beast) Loved the way it showed her everyday village life.
Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag) from "Mary Poppins"
"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" (Cinderella) I used to sing this at the nursing home I volunteered at.
"Reflection" (Mulan)
"You'll Be in My Heart" (Tarzan) This one has grown on me.
Can You Feel the Love Tonight? from "The Lion King"
"Kiss the Girl" (The Little Mermaid) I think this is my favorite song from the movie.
Colors of the Wind from "Pocahontas" Again with the spiritual theme and important message.
Once Upon a Dream from "Sleeping Beauty" Best of Disney. Was a bit strange to me at first, but it was another one that grew on me.
Part of Your World from "The Little Mermaid"
When You Wish Upon a Star from "Pinocchio" Best of Disney. Am surprised this didn't make number 1, since it seems to be the definitive Disney song. Another
one I used to sing at the nursing home.
Circle of Life from "The Lion King" Did I say spiritual? And love the introduction!
That's What Friends Are For "The Jungle Book" Gotta love that barbershop harmony!
Rescue Aid Society "The Rescuers" (Thanks to a friend of Lauren's for reminding me of this.)
I'll Try "Peter Pan2" Gotta be the angstiest Disney song I've ever heard, which of course means I love it! lol
Someone's Waiting For You "The Rescuers" This song is so beautiful...
The Foney King of England "Robin Hood"
The Whole Bambi soundtrack
