Skype invites
Nov. 25th, 2008 11:02 amHi to anyone that might be reading this. Not much going on here at the moment. Lately I've noticed that I've been getting a lot of unsolicited Skype activity. It's not unusual for me to get plenty of chat requests, most if not all of them sounding like spam. I ignore those, and just close the windows whenever they pop up. I have a friend who deals with the same thing, so that's how I know it's to be expected.
Occasionally though, I'll get a request for someone to be added to my contacts, and even more occasionally, I'll get someone just calling me up out of the blue, even without sending me a request. I open the program to see whose calling, but don't answer if I don't recognize the name. So far today, I've had two of these random calls, with one of the people who called me requesting my info at the same time he or she was calling me. I don't know for sure of corse, but I think the increase of activity might have something to do with the number of websites I belong to, and in the case of this site, the fact that I've become more active recently, and there is more in my journal to read, even if it isn't that much yet. I want to let anyone who reads this know that if you want to chat on Skype, I have no problem, as long as your ententions are good. The more the merrier, I say! All I would ask is that you drop me an e-mail, write me a message, leave me a comment, or at least tell me in your Skype requests who you are, so you don't get ignored. I try to make it a habit to talk to people by some means at least once before I add them, anyway. Just let me know who you are and where you got my name from, that's all.
Thanks,
Kathy
