Well, as the subject says, I've got a few bits of posative happenings, but I suppose I should start by talking a bit about yesterday first. Okay, so maybe I should actually start with Saturday night, lol! I had a wonderful, and long, conversation with Lauren on Skype, and we talked about some of our observations of AIW, (Adventures In Wonderland), and some story ideas. During the corse of that conversation, my mom came in from work, and we both decided that I was too sick to go to class the next day. So I sent an e-mail to my professor, (which she still hasn't answered, BTW), asking if I could give my presentation next week. I'm not too worried about that though.
Sunday was pretty quiet. I had a small breakfast, and nothing really happened much until that afternoon/evening. My mom was working the evening shift, and before she left she asked my aunt and uncle if they were cooking, and if I could eat with them. They said they were making tacos, and I could come down. When dinner was ready, I went downstairs to eat with them, although I would have preferred to eat on my own. Anyway, the food was excelent, but the company left a bit to be desired. My family is all great and loving, but they, or maybe I should say we since I'm not imuned, have some real issues. My uncle's main issue is that he is a bit of a control freak. I'm not sure if it is an official name, but I call it the alpha male complex. He has in fact referred to himself at least a few times as an alpha male, a title which I've never heard applied to any other human. Anyway, this lead to me being rather upset and out of sorts by the time I left, and I asked my mom not to intercede like that again. Knowing her, it's about a 50 50 shot at whether she does. On one hand, she sort of knows how he is, and she definately knows how I am, so she probably will respect that. On the other hand though, she can be forgetful, sometimes selectively so, I think.
Anyway, on to happier things. This morning I woke up late, which was a slightly unwelcomed change from my early mornings of the past few days. True, I went to bed late, but I didn't think it was that late. Truth is, I haven't been paying attention to what time I've been going to bed in a while. Anyway, I saw last night that I got an e-mail from someone willing to tutor me in bio. I didn't read it because I was just about to go to bed. I read it this morning, and it turns out she's in the same class as me! We're going to talk today about scheduling. Before that though, I called Barnes & Noble, which I should have done a long time ago, to order a book that I needed to read for that same class. I was told they only had it in print, which was disappointing, but I said what the heck, I'll order it anyway and just attempt to scan it. They need credit info, which I didn't have, so I had to call Mom to order it for me. I was a bit nerveous and embarrassed, because I felt like I had screwed up again, and she would make a big deal about it and yell and pannick, which she would have a right to do in this case. Well, all but pannicking, that is. Anyway, it was then that I checked my e-mail, and I found that my mom had finally won the daily free lunch at the deli. I called to tell her, thinking it would brighten the mood, and it turned out that she not only had ordered the book, but was able to get it on CD! Yay! I asked her to get me a sandwich from the deli, as I get the menu in my e-mail everyday, and it makes my mouth water, and she said she would. Then I listened to the AIW episodes Red Queen For a Day, and Wonderland the Movie. I thought I had seen the latter before, but it seems I haven't. Thanks again Lauren for sending them to me! I have Itunes, which means any MP3s I play are streaming, and whenever I play a new one, such as I did today, I never know where on the playlist it'll show up. If there's a trick to that, I haven't learned it yet. Anyway, when Wonderland the Movie ended, it turned out to be next to my favorite online radio station, so now I'm listening to that. I'm pretty sure there was something else I wanted to say, but I forgot what it was. Oh well, it probably wasn't that important.

More later,
Kathy
